The Case of... The Information Hound Chapter four asks you to focus on finding and using information, the core of your educational experience. Are you more comfortable in a real library rather than a virtual one? Do you naturally gravitate to the card catalogue rather than a search engine? Or is your computer your constant companion, scrolling and surfing the basis of finding the information you need? Since the faculty at most schools of higher education remain fairly traditional in their teaching methods, but find themselves in the process of making a transition to a virtual world of information, most students find themselves in this transitional phase as well. Thus, finding information, whether in the library or on the Internet, and knowing how to use it are valuable skills. In the box below, explain the method you find most successful in finding information. Other students may profit from your knowledge and experience, or you may get some helpful ideas from other students as well.
