Decision making can be an overwhelming experimental experience at any age, but even more so for college students, who are often facing such monumental decisions for the first time. Yet it's this challenge and the opportunity to exercise alternatives why most students choose to go to college in the first place! Exploring various alternative solutions during college will only help you reach your set goals, while oversimplifying these decisions can lead to more problems. Sometimes the only way to avoid obstacles when attempting to reach your goals is to create alternate ways for attaining them. In addition, oversimplification of the decision-making process may create blind spots in your critical thinking. Instead, successful decision making involves scaling your options and considering the outcomes of each, as well as how they relate to your individual values and goals.
