Stephen Haag, University of Denver
Stephen Haag is a professor of Information Technology and Electronic Commerce in the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business. Stephen holds a B.B.A. and M.B.A. from West Texas State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington. Stephen has published numerous articles appearing in such journals as Communications of the ACM, The International Journal of Systems Science, Applied Economics, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences.
Stephen is also the author of 10 other books including Interactions: Teaching English as a Second Language (with his mother and father), Case Studies in Information Technology (with Maeve and Jim), Information Technology: Tomorrow's Advantage Today (with Peter Keen), and Exceling in Finance (with Ed Boyer). Stephen lives with his wife, Pam, and their two sons, Indiana and Bosephus, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Maeve Cummings, Pittsburg State University
Maeve Cummings is a professor of Information Systems at Pittsburg State University. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science, an M.A. in Mathematics, and an M.B.A. from Pittsburg State University; and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has published in various journals including the Journal of Global Information Management and the Journal of Computer Information Systems. She is on the editorial board of several journals including the Journal of Global Information Technology Management and the Midwest Quarterly. She is the co-author of Case Studies in Information Technology. She lives in Pittsburg, Kansas with her husband, Slim.
James P. Dawkins, Deltek/Harder and Shuman
Jim Dawkins is a sales consultant with Deltek Systems, Inc., in Englewood, Colorado, specializing in the Allegro Resource Management System. Jim previously served as a system consultant for Deltek. Jim provided systems and management consulting with Fortune 500 firms independently for five years prior to joining Deltek. Previous to that Jim spent eight years as a practicing engineer.
Jim holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver. He is a co-author of Case Studies in Information Technology. Jim, along with his wife Patti, and their two children, Devin and Kristin, live in Aurora, Colorado.
David H. Bateman, Saint Mary's University
David H. Bateman is an Associate Professor of Accounting and MIS at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. He is a chartered accountant (CA), holds an MBA (Dalhousie) and attended AACSB MIS Faculty Development programs at the University of Indiana. Over the last 17 years he has taught numerous MIS classes and professional development seminars to undergraduate, MBA, EMBA students, professional accountants and business managers. He has developed Internet MIS courses for Athabasca University and the Czech Management Centre. He has also consulted and taught in the small business area. In addition, he is a past president of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association. His research interests include examining the impact of information technology on education and business, specifically for alternative educational delivery systems and electronic commerce.
