Project Files
After Chapter 11 and before Appendix A on pages 482-496, we've included 14 Real HOT Group projects. "HOT" in this case stands for Real Hands on Technology. Why real hands on technology? Because these projects demonstrate the true productivity nature of software tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation graphics. The simple fact of the matter is that you can't complete any of these projects in a reasonable amount of time without the use of technology.
Most of these projects require you to use existing files of information. Here, we've provided those files so you can easily download them, roll up your sleeves, and get to work.
The Microsoft files (Word, Excel, and Access) are saved in Office '97 format. The Lotus files are saved in the latest version of Lotus that Office '97 formats.
Depending on your computer platform, the version and brand of web browser, and other software configuration, clicking on a file below may result in it opening within the web browser window. To ensure that a file is saved to your hard drive without interfering with the current Online Learning Centre session, PC users may right-click a link and choose 'save link as...' or 'save target as...'.
