McGraw-Hill Ryerson and The Critical Thinking Consortium present a new partnership. A series of teacher-developed resources focussed on infusing critical thinking into school subjects. Each book contains critical challenges and suggested activities for teachers to use in developing the intellectual resources that students require to thoughtfully explore the subject matter. The activities are complemented by reproducible blackline masters and assessment rubrics.
Features
- A content-embedded approach: Our embedded approach to critical thinking presents “critical challenges” that invite students to think about and with the content of the curriculum.
- Teaching the tools: We identify the critical thinking “tools” needed to respond competently to every challenge we present and our suggested activities detail how each of these tools can be taught and assessed.
