You can use this search facility to search for products based on Author, Title, and ISBN. You can also limit your search to a particular division of McGraw-Hill Ryerson by checking the check boxes. Below are some hints on the particular fields.

 

Author
When searching by author name, please make sure you include hyphens and punctuation.

 

ISBN
Do not enter hyphens or spaces when searching on the ISBN field.

 

Title
The Title search uses exact phrase searching. It will look for a phrase, exactly as you have typed that phrase, in the title field. So if you're looking for the title "The Complete Canadian Small Business Guide", you can enter any part of that title, but the words you use must be adjacent in the title or the search will fail. If you are unsure of the exact title, but know that it contains certain words, choose the most unique of those words and search on that word.

 

Boolean Operators and quotation marks are not supported.
The "Title Search" does not recognize operators such as "and", "or" and "not" as a means of connecting search terms. These words will be treated literally. So the search "Canadian and business" will only result items with titles containing the exact phrase: "Canadian and business". Titles that contain the words "Canadian" and "business" separately will not be retrieved.

 

Division Checkboxes
You can limit your searches to one of the three McGraw-Hill Ryerson divisions (Trade, Professional and Medical Division, School Division and Higher Education Division), or you can open your search to all three. Just click the check boxes to identify which division you would like to search. By default, you are just searching Trade Professional and Medical (TPM) titles while on the TPM site.
